We would only be interested in Classical LP's on the DECCA, HMV or COLUMBIA record labels.

The LP's must have the label designs shown in the pictures below.


Unfortunately, classical LP's with any other label design are generally not collectable.

The Label and Catalogue Number of an LP can be found either on the record label or on the back of the cardboard record sleeve (usually in the top right corner).
 

   

DECCA

The 1st label design is Black with a thick silver band and an 'FFSS' logo at 12 o'clock.

The next label design is Black with a narrow silver band with DECCA in a silver box.

Catalogue Numbers: -

HMV

The label design is a White & Gold label.

Catalogue numbers: -

ASD --- (e.g. ASD 451)

 

   
   

COLUMBIA

The Label design is light silver/blue, overlaid with a silver web design.

Catalogue numbers: -

SAX ---- (e.g. SAX 2340)

   

The next design has a red & black label with the Columbia Magic Notes logo in a semi-circle at the top half of the label.

Catalogue numbers: -

SAX ---- (e.g. SAX 5290)

 
Mono versions are on a Blue label with gold writing.
